Traktor Pro 2 Keeps Crashing

I recently bought a new laptop (Dell Inspiron 17 3780). I have Traktor Pro 2.11.3 17 installed and using Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2. I am experiencing the following problems: Gets stuck in a loop at a particular spot during a song. Have to close the program to stop. Will not play file when the play button is pressed on the controller.

  • Recently my Traktor software has been freezing (just for a second) during each song i play. Its not really bugging me that much, but it makes me wonder what could be causing this.

    Did you check your CPU meter (in Traktor top right side somewhere) or if you RAM is enough?
    Also with PCs sometimes the virus program can cause this and Traktor does have some trouble with AMD processors.

    Yep, be sure to kill every process you don’t need. Network off, wireless off, bluetooth off, windows search (kill this one permanently), virusscanner off. Pretty much strip anything you don’t need for DJ-ing from your PC. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes. Many software (Java and Adobe to name just two) have little programs running that check for updates from time to time. Kill those too :-).
