I had purchased Serum through Splice and was able to download Serum and get it up and running as a VST with no problems, but for some reason the AU isn't showing up in my Ableton plugins folder. It wouldn't be a big issue but some of my project files had Serum AU loaded, so any of my tracks with Serum on them won't load. I would say it's well worth it. It can do everything sylenth can and most of of what massive can do. $189 isn't cheap but sylenth is about $200 and native instruments is still charging $200 for massive. Not to mention you could download massives wave tables and essentially have a make shift massive in serum.
